I require some software that will allow me to convert a small PowerPoint presentation into an animated gif that can them be emailed to a group of users.
Why do I need to do this?
One of my clients sends out a report that has a couple of moving images and some sound. They currently send this in MS PowerPoint format, but I would like to get this to be sent via email in a mail shot.

I know of no applications that will do that automatically (probably because creating such a large animated gif is typically not wise). however you could use any application capable of creating animated gifs. Just take a screenshot of every page int he powerpoint and construct the gif. Some cropping may be needed. You may encounter VERY large file sizes depending upon the size and number of frames. Many email services have limits that may prevent the user from receiving the file.
I use the gif animator application that is included with Paint Shop Pro.
Have you considered exporting the presentation in HTML format and posting to the web? You could then send the link in the email. just a thought.

Suggest to your "group of users" that they get/install a FREE PowerPoint Viewer from Microsoft.
(You could even send them a link, or the Viewer itself).
This will save YOU a boatload of time, and your users will view it as intended.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunatly that is not one of the
options they would like to go down.
Done quite a lot of serching today but only coming up with
dead end stuff.
