I have a toshiba laptop and when in hibernation, I can normally startup the computer when I open the lid. But now it does not do that. I went to Toshiba power options and set it to that feature but it does not work.Steve

Windows XP has always had issues with hibernation. On some laptops it worked great on others it wasn't worth a bent dime. On those that it worked ...then it failed...most never got it back running like it should have.
I personally would just turn it off and leave it alone!
