Power Meter

Specs: Win XP, 1.7Ghz AMD - 1Gb

I've had a problem for the past few days.

The little battery icon in the taskbar has disappeared, I've gone into Customize Notificatations and set it to always show, didn't work.

I went into Power Options Properties and checked it said Always Show Icon On Taskbar, it did, but I changed it to off, then switched it back to on, didn't work.
It's really irritating because I work a lot away from power, and never know how much time I have left.

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

power options/advanced check "always show on taskbar" and remember to click APPLY

OK, so after going through the usual procedures to get icons back on the taskbar and after restarting the computer, nothing happened.

Now I just turned my computer back on...

and it's back!

I did nothing, it's just back. Bloody XP
