power breakdown while shutting down XP

hi folks, while I was shutting down win xp home I had a power breakdown in the electric circuit so that the the system could not shut down correctly. Now when I want to restart in the moment when the log on screen should appear there's only a bluescreen followed by a restart after two seconds. I tried all of the start options like debug mode and all this stuff but no help. Even the repair modus does not work because the system does not accept the administrator password which must be correct because I am the only user. Any suggestions how I can repair this? Thanks a lot!

Hey XP Homer it sounds like you have a hardware problem. Try taking the ram out and repacing it with known working ram or new ram and see how you go. keep me posted. Taz.
