port still open or not

my connection is on and firewall too my zone alarm firewall says that ur file sharing client using port 5432.after getting file i closed my file sharing client but zonealarm didnt ask me 2 close this port 5432.my net connection is on and zonealaram is running and file sharing client is off.that port still open or zonealarm closed it automatically?? im worried now coz zonealarm didnt ask me 2 close that port i mean i set port forwarding on zonealarm for that file sharing software now thet software is closed should i also close the port manually on zonealarm??

Try opening Zone Alarm and selecting the Overview option.(On the left side) Now select the Preference tab. There is an option in the Security area to restore your security settings.
That should close any unnecessary ports.

If you want to check the integrity of your firewall and see how secure your ports are, you can run the port-scan test at Shields-Up. It will tell you if and what service ports are open.
