Hello,
I have recently thrown together an older PC which I am using for a server for "Counter-Strike". The problem i'm having is my router won't let anyone connect from outside my network. I have tried Port Forwarding, i've even tried opening my router right up to internet connections and still nothing. I can't seem to figure it out.
Try Windows Server 2003 Enterprise, it would be a better server compared to Windows XP Home. Also have you tried DMZ on your router? Otherwise, try connect your internet directly to a computer, make that your internet gateway and share the internet connection by enabling internet connection sharing to it.
