I can't get rid of these annoying popup ads. I got google's toolbar that works great over the net, but these ads are coming from somewhere stored on my computer. I've disabled messenger services under administrative tools in the contrl pnl., I've used Adaware and Spybot to rid these stupid things, and now I've resorted to something I read in a forum about HiJack This! What else can I do about blocking these things??? Here's my log file just in case you know about HiJack This!

Jason,
This is the wrong forum for hijackthis logs. You should post it in Security and Virus forum.

However, use hijackThis and scan the PC again.

Then check the following entries:-

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Local Page = C:\WINDOWS\PCHEALTH\HELPCTR\System\panels\blank.htm
R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {549B5CA7-4A86-11D7-A4DF-000874180BB3} - (no file)
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [WebSavingsfromEbates] C:\Program Files\WebSavingsfromEbates\WebSavingsfromEbatesrun.exe /cp:p "C:\Program Files\WebSavingsfromEbates\System\Code" Main lp: "C:\Program Files\WebSavingsfromEbates"
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [SunJavaUpdateSched] C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_03\bin\jusched.exe
O16 - DPF: {FF0C042C-98E9-4C36-B2EC-E21FDFDCEF75} - http://download.redswoosh.net/Installer/104/rsinstaller.cab

Then hit FIX CHECKED..

Reboot and see if that clears some of the popups.

I see you use Counter Strike ..:o)

request to post your HijackThis file in the right forum...:o)

Safe Computing...:o)
