Hi reader, I'd appreciate some help on this... I love playing online multiplayer games (especially half-life mods). During gameplay half-life minimizes itself to show the desktop when a pop-up appears. I wouldn't mind except when I click back on the half-life button on the taskbar I can carry on playing but there is no sound and there is the mouse pointer in the middle of the screen with my cross-hairs also when it minimizes the game is still playing so if your near someone your very likely to get shot. I have used numerous pop-up stoppers such as pop-up stopper pro, panicware's pop-up stopper, pow and many more. And I have also disabled the messanger. Please help ASAP, thnks 4 reading... Paul

If you have disabled the Messenger service, you should only receive internet pop-ups. This is most likely due to some type adware or spyware. I recommend you download a program called Ad-aware from www.lavasoftusa.com. Also, download the latest Refille too. Install the program and overwrite the newest refille (you'll have to extract it from the zip file) over the old one. Now, run a complete system scan and quarantine everything it finds. no sorry i dont think it's worked, it still shows pop-ups, any other ideas? I will test a little more and reply if it vastly improves. But thnks 4 replying.
