Popups (even when offline or idle)

Hi. I have this REALLY annoying problem. I get these popups all the friggin time. They come in groups of two, and even when i am offline they happen. They have nothing to do with sites i surf because even if im idle, they'll popup. Figured it was a virus or something. I was surfing the net last night when i got the prompt that said "The computer may be infected with a virus. Click yes to clean" or there abouts. I figured it was just another popup or something and clicked 'no', but ever since than, the popups have struck.

sounds like you should download and run spybot, do a google search for it

Download and run spybot search and destroy and adaware from lavasoft, both good progs bot do both coz one will get what the other misses, then down load clean up from the link below, a brill little prog that will kill anything else, then run an online virus scan from Panda active scan, a brilliant scanner that will disinfect any virus ridden files

Open up Administrative Tools and go to Services ( Start > My Computor , right click & select Manage ) Services & Applications > Services . From here, find the service called Messenger . Stop the service , then disable it.
