Whenever I browse a webpage with a pop-up window, the lower-left corner of the IE browser shows 'pop-up window blocked'. (I am using IE 6.0.2900) I have installed SP2, but this happened even if I turnt off the pop-up blocker provided by SP2. I did not installed deliberately any other pop-up blockers. I use Trend Micro Pccillin for internet security. I looked through it and I didn't find anything like pop-up blocker. Moreover, my security levels are all set at the default level.
What can I do if I want to allow a pop-up window?
Thanks very much.

do you have a google toolbar? if so, you can either turn it off, or hold ctrl while clicking a link. should be somewhat the same for all others. SP2's blocker shows up as a bar across the top of the browser under the buttons.

What I do in that case is use my "alternate" browser. It's easier than farting around with the settings, etc, in IE.

alternate browsers are not the answer. If you were driving a porsche, would you get a volkswagen? I don't think so!
Thomas Li, did you try adding the url of the site with that pop-up?
tools>pop-up block>pop-up blocker settings and adding the url?
That may work for you. Also adjust the settings at the bottom of that page. You had said that you turned off the pop-up blocker on SP2
It's hard to do a good job
When you have a monkey on your back

you likely have some sort of tool bar (like google) or popswatter. Check if IE has the some screen as yours on other computers with same OS and IE.
Check ad/remove programs.

Finally I found an ICQ toolbar in the add/remove programs, and after I removed it I can now see pop-up windows.
Thanks very much for your suggestions.
