Altho I have multiple pop up blockers which do block all other pop ups, there is no stopping the pop ups that come up with the blue e of Internet Explorer in the top “bar” How can they be blocked? AAF

Well .. sounds like spyware, try using this spyware remover "Spybot Search And destroy" and then get firefox "Internet Explorer" is no good full of malware. here's the link for spybot theirs a beta version of spybot but I suggest you use this one. http://www.download.com/3000-2144-10194058.html?tag=lst-0-1 and heres thel link for firefox take a look it's great :) http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/ good luck

Go over to the security and virus forum and the top of the page is a link to the most used spyware programs. There is nothing wrong with IE. This crap about firefox has been discussed to death here.

He might be refering to messenger in services that are causing the pop-ups. start>control panel>admin tools>services and scroll down to messenger and double click to bring it up then stop it and disable it and apply/OK out
