Plus! Aquarium keeps hesitating

A couple of months ago, my Plus! Aquarium screensaver starting "burping" or hesitating every couple of seconds. Makes the fish swim in herky jerky motions.
Has anyone else had this problem and if so how did you resolve the problem?

Sounds like a graphics card problem to me.

it will hesitate like that if your graphics card can't handle it. Try lowering the screen resolution, or tweaking the settings lower so that they use less resources....
Or get a new graphics card...sometimes overclocking your old one might help, but that's not usually a good thing

Laptop is just a year old. It seems strange that the aquarium screensaver would work fine for almost a year and then start doing that.... Any thoughts on why that would happen?
