I read that the BIOS must be set for a non PnP setting in Bios for WinXP. This came from a book I bought "Windows XP from the Inside Out". I did change the setting and have had no problems, but noticed that no one in this forum has mentioned it. Did anyone else run across this PnP setting information?

I always set my BIOS for P-n-P enabled and it works fine in XP for me.

I've tried it both ways in the bios with Win XP Professional. Works either way. But in the past I usually disable PnP in bios, or set it to "no" for PnP operating system. In the past I've had better results with IRQ assignments, less sharing of IRQs.
