C: is local Hard Disk
D: is CD drive

These 2 are fixed drives. When I insert the USB dive it gives it E: letter. I have changed to X: and Z: drive but it makes no different. I hope this will help further

thanks

Okay if you stick it in you will here a sound like PLOING that means the compuetr has detected the drive.
If the drive is formated with a filesystem windows can read then it will be given a drive letter and in explorer it should be accessable.

Is it accessable in Explorer or does it popup the message when you try to access it ??
