please help - page file usage probl

When I try to burn a DVD the page file usage steadily increases until the program fails. No other programs running. I posted earlier but no reply. i have tried turning off the page file but that made it worse. please help

Think you need to up your virtual memory.
Right click my computer. And left click properties. Click the advanced tab. Next to performance click the settings button. then the advanced tab again. Where it says virtual memory. Click change. Put the dot in custom and change the size. Is in MB.

Thats the default setting. As I play games have upped mine to a min of 1000 MB and max 3000 MB.

tried it, no luck, but thanks. any other ideas? I don't understand why i am having this problem I easily burned DVD's in the past. i have shut down every uneccesary process and scanned for viruses and spyware... i just don't get it
