some email programs cannot open eml attachments. Cannot change in folder options.
One option, aside from converting email to word documents,which are o.k. for those who have Word. The other option is to use Thunderbird rather than Out Look Express.
Can I switch back and forth between Out Look Express and Thunderbird as my default email program.

"Can I switch back and forth between Out Look Express and Thunderbird as my default email program." Yes you can, but any emails you download into Thunderbird will then no longer be available on the mail server to download into Outlook Express, and vice-versa.
This is because when you download an email it is automatically deleted from the server (unless you change that default setting in your email software).
Thanks very much. It confirms what I thought It also refreshed my mind that since I just downloaded Thunderbird, it must be listed.in "set program access and defaults.
