I had just baught a window xp home edition system. Anyhow, was messing around in my hard drive system files and accidentally without knowing, I had deleted my pagefile.sys system file. I was just wondering if there was any way I could recover the file without using the xp system CD?

Did you look in recycle bin?
You should not have been able to delete the file. It should have given you a message of file in use.
Windows will recreate the pagefile if deleted upon reboot.
I am assuming you are talking about pagefile.sys which is at the root of the boot drive like c:\pagefile.sys

agree with wanderer - you CAN'T delete pagefile.sys from within windows, and if you delete it outside, XP will just recreate it when it boots (its just virtual RAM - ie, a working area, not a system file as such)
