I need help on how to remove a virus.. the scan i'm dong, this is what is showing up..

C:\WINDOWS\TTC-4444.exe... file could not be scanned!
C:\WINDOWS\tk58.exe... file could not be scanned!

C:\Program Files\Norton AntiVirus\Quarantine\Portal\19A44341.dll... file could not be scanned!

once the scan is finished i'm not sure what to do... since it even says it can't be scanned, i've used the norton antivirus and the things that come up says that the problem cannot be fixed.. please help

Try scanning in safe mode. reboot the computer and toggle the F8 key till the start up page is shown and choose to start in safe mode. Then start your anti virus scan.

also the main reason a file can't be scanned is that it is protected by some program or other. In most cases it is system restore that is protecting the files...you can safely turn off system restore by:
start > r click on my computer > select properties > select system restore tab > check the box to turn off system restore.

you can now try the scan in regular windows and see if it will scan the files.

after the scan check the items found and choose to either fix, delete or quarantine the file. Quarantine would be the best choice as it can then be restored if need be!

Is there something I can download from the internet that is free to remove the viruses that I have? I do not have the resources to purchase anything.
