Remove the sound card and see if it boots smoothly.

uninstall the nic in device manager and reboot. if issue persist, remove the nic card from the pc. if issue persist, run a resore point to a time when it was ok - start, all programs, accesories, system tools, system restore

OK be careful. If you have found your sound card, and it is the type that can be removed, then unplug the power cord from the computers back before you do anything.

Then use a screwdriver and undo the retaining screw and gently pull on the sound card.

After it is out, put the power supply cord back on the unit and boot it up.

If it boots to the desktop then you will need to buy a new sound card.

If it does not, then you will need to remove more stuff.

Usually a person with boot issues like this will remove everything from the motherboard except the power supply and video card. Then try to start the unit. As you start putting things back on the motherboard, you will start the unit in between each item installed starting with the video card and one stick of ram. The last item to install is the sound card.

If you do it that way, you will find what is causing the unit to not boot.
