Please help me mic problem

hi i cant unmute my mic this morning it didnt work but it used to so i bought a new mic but that doesnt work either the box for muting the mic has a tick in it but it wont un tick PLEASE HELP ME THANKS GUYS

why not do a system restore back to when the mic worked. its the easiest way

its been a long time since i used it last more then twelve months so there will be no restore points and i have added too much hardware and software reciently to go back

wen u go bak to a earlier restore point you wont (or shouldent) loose any programs ect...if it doesent work you can come bak from that restore point again to now....try it and see....i would just go bak a month or so and try that....

ststem restore didnt work it probibly hasnt been working for a while what i really need to know is how do i unmute it if the butten wont untick

ok ...are u sure its a mute u are trying on the mic and not a select button...sounds silly i know but was just looking at it in the control panel under sounds and audio and had the same problem for the mic...then i realised it was i was selecting the mic ...not muting it ...clik somethink else to deselect it...just a thought ...hope it helps...

i did and selected somthing else and now it works great
