Open an IE window and select Tools\Internet Options. Then click the Securities tab and reset all the settings to Default.

Repost if this doesn't help.

Start the computer and then press the F8 key when Windows begins to start.
The Windows Advanced Options menu appears.
Use the ARROW keys to select Last Known Good Configuration (your most
recent settings that worked), and then press ENTER.
If a boot menu appears, use the ARROW keys to select Microsoft Windows XP,
and then press ENTER. Windows XP restores the computer to the most recent
restore point.

Sometimes audio codecs files get corrupted. Even if you are using a program other them Windows media player, most still use the audio codecs embedded within Media Player to play audio files.

Try going here and downloading and reinstalling the codecs files:

Sorry, I should have said "Audio and Video" codecs. The Microsoft site I posted the link for contains both.

Correction

FJ = won’t help again.

All those posted here did try, with the information they had at their finger tips.

It's hard, at best. considering the distance between your unit and our work-space.

The only thing people can do is offer suggestions and wait for a response telling us if the suggestion worked or not.

I suppose we could post every solution to every possible cause. But who in this world knows all that.

A simple repost saying that the suggestions didn't work and this is what happened when you tried them.

That’s all it takes to show gratitude.
