Whenever I try and play any sort of game, whether an installed one or just a simple internet game, my computer turns itself off. It has even done it whilst i've been downloading stuff as well. When i then turn it on again, i don't even get the message saying the computer was not turned off properly (disk check etc.) Any help on how to solve this would be much appreciated, so cheers to any takers! Charlie.

Ok... The short answer is start backing up everything right now while you still can.
Ive just been threw this. Acctually exactly what happened to you in that order.. first during games.. then while downloading or accessing other computers on my network.. and now just at random.. Turnes out my Hard drive is crashing... BIG TIME.
BUT... with all that said, it could be other things aswell. you could have a over heating problem or you may have picked up a Virus, or ram may be failing but you symtoms sound suspisiously like mine. i went threw all the senarioes to weed out all the others and simple my hard drive is stuffed. it did exactly as you say, just momentarily froze then rebooted without a error message.
Good luck.
