platinum pinball install error

can't find a friend who understands the registry to go in and fix the registry for this game. would formating hard drive clear this. i don't know what else to do i've even contacted company with no response from them

installed a windows xp game called platinum pinball by encore software. went in fine but i unistalled and only unistalled partway. now when i go to reinstall this is the error message i get. i think it's missing a file and i can't clear the error The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable

i tried to reinstall the program and that is the error message that i am getting. i've done the restore and doesn't work. the weird thing is i tried to install a completely different game and i got the exact same error. how am i going to get through this?
