pictures not saving

hello, my computer has been acting a little funny. i was online saving images into a folder i use for wallpapers and funnies, well after saving about 10 pics and opening the folder i always save my pics in the pics were nowhere to be found. i made a new folder and saved the images there with no luck. i even tried saving them directly to my desktop and the pictures aren't there. anybody know what's going on? thanks

i checked my documents and the pics aren't in there, they aren't anywhere, i have plenty of hard drive space available. i just went to random sites and saved some pics and they aren't in the selected folder, desktop, documents, nowhere. i don't understand what's going on. thanks

Have you tried using the refresh button?

Also, go to Start>Run and type cmd and press enter. In the black box, type "chkdsk C: /f" without quotes and press enter. This is a shot in the dark, though.

You can try one more thing.

Use windows Search feature. Go to your Desktop and Press F3.

Type the name of any file you saved onto your Hard disk. Search all the drives you have there.

And, another possibility is that the attribute of those files is changing to "Hidden" (for some weired reason).

So, Double click "My Computer".

Open "Tools" menu.

Select "Folder options".

Click on "View" tab.

Scroll down and make sure "Show hidden file and folders" is selected.

kista8, Delete your "Temporary Internet Files" including "all offline content", then try to save a picture again.
