I have a Cpmp[aq Evo N180 laptop and it has windows XP installed. Each time I restart it shows that I have recovered from a serious error and I also get a blue screen about Physical Memory dump. How do I find what the cause is and fix these things?
Since your problem happens on Restart, you would have to Restart twice after you make any kind of Settings change.
Also to say Most Virus and Spyware scans are likely to work better in Windows Safe-Mode.

Your first place to look is going to be in the event viewer. Start>run type in eventvwr.msc and click ok to open the viewer.
You will then want to view the logs, primarily system and applications, to identify what might be causing the problem. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308427 details the info in further detail.
