physical address problem

Specs: Windows XP
I have connection in internet to my laptop they put my physical address of my laptop to the internet modem, i want to use the same connection to other desk top pc but it has different physical address,so what will i do, no need to put the physical address of my desk top, please help me.

I suspect you are worrying about nothing.

To start, you usually don't put any physical [mac] address in a modem. You do when using a router. You "clone" the workstations mac address to the routers wan interface so the ISP equipment sees the same physical address the connection was registered with.

You should be able to connect the pc just fine. Give it a try and report back.

It would seem you have a DSL connection. You can register up to two physical (MAC) addresses for your connection. These are done thru your ISP. If all else fails call them and get them to register your second address.
