My girlfriend is too cute. I have tons of her pictures on my machine. I'm selling my machine so I don't want other guy to see my girl. I want to get rid of the images permanently (totally unrecoverable). I'm aware of data recovery softwares which recovers data even after they have been deleted. Can they recover files deleted by SHIFT+DEL or just DEL? How secure would I be if i first change the extension, open with text writer (like Notepad) modify contents and then SHIFT+DEL? That will I believe at least confuse the recovery software with the extension. Right?
