Comment:

I know this is a rudimentary question for some so please don't bash me for asking.

Would a P4 3.06GHz processor be equivalent or less powerful than a PD 920 2.8Ghz processor? I understand that the Pentium D processor are 2 processors working as one so does this mean that it is like having two 2.8GHz processor working at the same time?

Thanks in advance for any comments.

I will bash you not for asking the question but posting it in Windows XP Forum. Your question should go to the guys & gals in our Hardware Forum.

Pentium D are not true dual core, if you want dual core go with the core 2 duo, also it would slightly faster than the pentium 4.
