pentium 4 dual core....

i was wondering if there were any intel pentium 4 with dual core out there??..i heard of a pentium d with dual core....just wondering if there were any p4 with dual core....if so where can i find it??..

Well, a dual core is a real smp more than a logical processor is.

Anyway a pentium d is really a pentium 4 class processor just that there is almost two of them on a package. There is some 64 bit stuff too. http://www.intel.com/products/processor/pentium_D/

Now waht Chuck 2 say is that there is plenty of P4's that have the previous scheme bein HT. HT isn't a true dual core but a combo soft/firmware processor. It chokes when you really need it and as suspected and reported all along. HT slows down many systems and applications.
