PDF files in IE6

IE6 will not open pdf files in a browser window. I have acrobat reader 5.0 and wondered if there's a setting that's not enabled or what? (I get the small colored image icon at the top left corner and that's it). If I drag the link from my browser to the desktop, then launch acrobat, then open the link via acrobat it opens fine. Any ideas?

Is it ALL PDF files or just one in particular. I have found the same problem with some pdf files. If it happens more than a couple of times in a row, I reinstall Adobe Reader and that fixes everything just fine. Occasionally it is the fault of the site from which you get the pdf file. ie: my phone company is notorious for posting crappy pdf format. As you say you can usually overcome this by drag & drop or if you have the option to save the file that may work too. Bit of a nuisance tho' as they should open automatically. I would say reinstall, but get a new download from Adobe in case your install file is corrupt.
