Can you open other pdf files?

What is the size of the file once downloaded?
How does that size compare to the original?

Answers are only as good as the information you provide.
How to properly post a question:
Sorry no tech support via PM's

The word "download" can have several meanings.

Are you downloading these directly from the internet or via your email client?

If you are downloading them from the Internet are just trying to view them online, running them, or saving them as files?

We need to know exactly what you are doing and where it is going wrong.

The file contains a return authorization. When it begins to download it never finishes. There is no information indicated the headings are blank where the size time etc should be. It just keeps moving paper over it is lost in limbo. If I let it keep going the download screen disappears. I can open other pdf and jpg files. Saving it doesn't make a difference either just comes up file can not be found.

We're a bit short of answers to our questions so, much as we'd like to, it's hard to attempt to help.

Here's another:
Do other pdf and jpg files download normally.

I guess we have to assume that this "downloading" is from some email client-or-other. If that is the case, it sounds like the "download" never does complete, therefore, it is not at all surprising that you can't open it, or even find it! Pdf's and Jpg's are not the problem, but "downloading" using your present (unidentified) email client is, at least in the case of this particular email. If using OE, for example, and there is a virus being sent, the "download" may be getting caught by an AV, with the result that all subsequent emails can not be retrieved.

Some clarity is needed. Have you, for instance, even tried using Webmail to look further into this problem?

Thanks for all the information. I have explored further into what can be done and I don't know how it happened but I made the jpg file work on my picture it program.
