I have loaded XP on to my machine and now found that I cannot use my modem as the PCI Simple Communications Controller is not recognised by windows, can anyone help me with a driver?
We would need the exact model of the motherboard. The drivers would be posted on their website, or on the CD that came with the motherboard.

I own a Vaio Slimtop LX800 O/S Win ME. I installed Windows XP on my computer a couple of months ago with all the required downloads for XP. Today I plugged my printer to my PC, and when I turned it on a message appeared saying "New Hardware Found", which is the PCI Simple Communications. Then I tried my internet connection and Error # 797 appeared which says "...connection to remote computer not established because modem not found or busy...". As a matter of fact my modem doesn't even appear on my Device Manager window. I also checked the ports and there is only one Port installed, which is Port Com 2. PCI Simple Communications appears on the device manager window with a yellow exclamation mark but I don't know what to do to make my modem work again. Can anyone send me the .inf file? I'd appreciate any other suggestion. Thanks.
