Hi
Firstly, I keep getting the blue screen of death--virtual memory dump about every 15 minutes, unless im constantly using my computer.
I found out that its due to a SiS graphics update. I have gone to the site and d/l what I thought was the correct file, and its not. Can I safely delete this file and will it be completely removed from my system?
I was informed to go d/l a driver from my motherboard site and now have a few questions regarding the setup process
1. it says to double click on the PCI-PCI bridge in device manager. I do not have that bridge. The choices I have are: PCI bus, SiS PCI to ISA bridge or SiS735\133 Host CPU bridge. Can I doulble click on one of these? This represents my AGP bridge. then im to select properties and select Driver and update. After the update driver wizard then im to click on 'locate driver files' and select 'specify a location' and then im to enter the location for my new INF and driver. I am clueless as to how to do this. Can anyone please walk me thru this?
I did find an Upgrade Kit XP Support CD. Can I run the setup from this CD to correct my problem, without haveing to go thru the process listed above?
The rebooting and blue screen of death is driving me crazy.
I appreciate assistance I can get.

thanking you in advance,
Nanette

The first thing to try is to go to device manager and right-click your video adaptor.Click Properties> Driver> Roll back driver. Then right-click the adaptor and click uninstall. Then reboot, connect to the internet, and have Windows search for a better driver.

There should be a heading "Display Adapters" in your Device Manager, you'll find it in there.

HI,
I didnt have the option to roll back drivers,so I updated it, and there was a problem. I guess there isnt an update for that driver.

You can still uninstall the adapter and reboot. That should take you back to your original microsoft driver from its own cache. Maybe that'll solve your problem, I dunno, I'm tired....
