i have a hp pav. ze5500 laptop. here's my problem: i use it to edit pictures with my finepix viewer program. after i edit around 20 or so pictures the computer slows down to a crawl. ex: it will take up to five minutes to save a change on 1 picture. if i reboot the pc its fast again. it referes to virtual memory. is there a way i can add more of this kind of memory. is it part of my ram memory. ive already set my virtual memory as high as it will go and this problem still occurs. please help

Your vertual memory refers to the size of your page file. The normal size for a page file with 512 meg of ram is Minimum = 768 and the maximum should be 1536. Setting the size of the page file to high or to low wil cause issues especialy when doing heavy video editing. Try those settings once done reboot the comp so the settigns will take affect.
