Specs: Microsoft Windows XP Professional, 2.804 GHz / 3071 MB
About two weeks ago, was playing a game and then suddenly PC freeze and then it rebooted. At the time I thought a simple reboot would fix any issues.

When I tried to play the same game I noticed every was running slowly from the boot up to loading the game in question.

I then thought it might be a good idea to run my Av and Malware scanners just in case. A Trogen was discovered it was deleted and using the software and thought it was all good.

Ever since PC has been running slow.

I then reset PC back to factory settings and wiped PC. After updateding all driver etc etc I find PC is still in the same condition.

I then went to Malwarebytes forum got help from the guys there, but I seem to be right back where I started. Info from is here http://forums.malwarebytes.org/inde...

If anyone could help or point me in the right direction I would gbe a great help. I feel Malware is not the issue but proberly Xp :)

what i would do:

take out all ram, graphics card, anything in pci slots, processor and heat sinc.

clean them all with pressurised air can or just blow them to remove any dirt, dust etc.

do the same with all the pci slots and DIMM slots (for ram)

basically clean out your whole case.

sounds simple but i've seen dust/dirt buildup affect a lot of computers and soon as i cleaned them out it worked perfect.

give it a try
