Reply: (edit)Go to system properties (Windows key + pause break key) Adavced tab>>>startup and recovery settings and disable automatic restart. Try that for a while if you still have the same problem it could be either your power suply is on or close to the limit or your outside power supply maybee..for that you could try a UPS (uninterupted power supply)ide personally "borrow" one from someeone and try it first before buying one...although they are a good idea regardless.. Ohh it could be a overheating processer problem too..check for a dust build up on your processer heat synk..but DONT use a vacume cleaner on it ..they creat static electrisity and your computer wont like that..it will kill it..and install more case fans..asuming your not on your power supply limit.. Good luck. Oz "Bite off more than you can chew, And chew like hell!" Peter Brock.

Reply: (edit)Dear Oz thanks for the time u gave to answer me. :) well i dont think the problem is with over heating or with my power supply (i use a UPS and it works fine) besides with the same processor i can watch video files in Windows 98 se (i have a dual operating system in my pc). still the pc restarts or freezes, i did disable the auti restart thing and then i came to know its for my AGP card, maybe xp can not cope up with it. everything else just works great just the video files are chewing me off. anyway thanks again and plz let me know if there is smth else i can do :) ~sifte Paradise lost when paradise is found
