PC not booting from CDROM can't install XP

Specs: Windows XP

i put the Xp cd into CD rom and restart the machine but it will not booting from the CD rom it booted from HD.i changed the bios settings as first boot devise CD rom.but it is not working.i wont to re instal the XP please help me.

Did you save the settings when you exited the bios? Do you see boot from cd option at startup?

When booting with the CD in the drive, do you see a prompt to "press any key to boot from CD..."? If you're not pressing a key, the system will bypass the CD drive & move on to the HDD.

i pressed key but not worked.after pressing any key it goes to boot from HDD.there is a massage "invalid boot from ine files.booting from HDD"

Either BIOS is not recognizing keyboard input (might happen with USB keyboard) or XP CD is bad/unreadable (unless there is a problem with the CD drive itself).
