pc not booting from cd

Specs: Windows XP
I am not able to boot from xp cd. I have set bios to first cd boot but still it isnt booting from the cd. No press any key to boot from cd message coming. I have made virus scan but no virus detected. CD rom recognise all other cd except xp one. I have changed CMOS battery too but still the problem exist. I want to reinstall xp please help.

sounds like u have a bad cd, try cleaning the cd, use soft cloth, wipe from outside towards the middle, other than that, u probably need another cd.

cd is ok. I have checked on other system. I have checked with another cd too

go in bios check cd rom (connection)connected.
check first boot divice.
