Hi all, I recently installed MSN 7.5 on my laptop, and it worked for about a week, now everytime I try to run it, it takes ages and ages for the program to open, and as soon as I ty to type my email address it locks up and has to be shut down. Someone suggested that I try to delete all the temp internet files, but when I do this (through the option on IE) this locks up too!! this may not be related but sometimes, if I click on the task bar and try to run anything, it takes ages to open it (say an IE window) but if I open a fresh window from within IE (hold shift and click a link) it open instantly. but it's the MSN lock up that's bothering me. several uninstalls and reinstalls have done nothing. anyone have any ideas?

I had a similar problem a few weeks back, when updating to MSN 7.5. It took ages for Windows to boot up (just over 3 mins on the splash page!!) although I didnt have any lock ups. I restored my system to before I had updated MSN and that sorted the problem out. Since then I havent updated again, and its all run smoothly! :o) Must be some bug in the MSN 7.5 update, so might aswel hold out for MSN 8 =P Dan. got version 8 this morning...same thing...as soon as I try to sign in, it locks up and has be closed. definitely something with my pc rather than the program itself. just very very annoying
