pc gone weird

hi i think i've done something nasty to the registry no start menu programs wont run cant get into system restore cant open reg backup files but can connect to net any ideas ta tcummo

Oops. Try starting in Safe Mode and going back to a previous restore point.

Try a repair install of XP - boot up with the XP disk in and it should detect XP already there and offer you the repair option.
