pc freezing

my pc will keep freezing for no reason, can be running nothing and on desktop and will freeze. i then turn off and sometime it will boot and sometimes wont. have to do chkdsk,fixboot to get it back booting up. If it does boot then have to restore active desktop. Have done 2 formats and fresh installs but to no avail. Checked ram with ramchecker and ok. and can crash upto 2 times a day. Please help.thanx

Make sure all fans are running, not stopping or running slow.
Remove & clean both sides of the fan blades & in the cpu fins, don't forget the power supply. Make sure the power to the comp, is off.

Just to doublecheck it wouldn't hurt to run Memtest, and let it run all night. The ISO download to run from CD is really handy.
Other than that, you will have to remove everything to bare minimum and reinsert 1x1 with a boot after each to see which peripheral is causing conflict.
