can anyone help!

pc freezes approx 10 mins after boot up every time i switch it on. I then have to restart. On restart i usually get a message saying "hardware monitor found an error. Press f7 to enter setup or f1 to continue". When i enter setup, i cant really see how to rectify the problem. I continue with the boot, then don't have any problems after that.

This has been happening for quite a while now and i've just got used to switching on, waiting 10 mins, then re-booting, but is still a bit of a pain.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Possible it may have to do with the Power Scheme
of the monitor, Standby, or Hibernate.

Right click Desktop,
then Properties,
then Screensaver tab,
then Power... button.

Then select Never for each of the four Power Scheme settings.

Sounds like to me something is over heating. Check the cpu fan first. It's monitored as well as the cpu temp. If it's not running then the amd cpu gets mighty hot in a hurry.

I may be crazy, but I'm not stupid...

I restarted comp again and the following message came up during boot: "hardware monitor found an error. Enter power setup menu for details. Press f1 to continue, delete to enter setup.

i entered the BIOS settings and went to the power tab. The following details were displayed:

MB temp 33c/91f
CPU temp 90.5c/194.5f

CPU fan speed 4440
Power fan speed n/a
Chassis fan speed n/a

Vcore voltage 1.8v
+3.3v voltage 3.2v
+5v voltage 4.9v
+12v voltage [ignore]
+3vsb voltage [ignore]
+5vsb voltage 4.9v

are these values normal

thanks a lot for your help

CPU is running to hot. Is it overclocked?

The temps are way too high. You're gonna cook the cpu and the motherboard. Take the side of the case off and point a fan in the box and see if it cools down. The cpu temp I bet is due to the cooling fins (heat sink) being clogged up with dust. As for the motherboard temp, the overheated cpu is dumping the heat off by conduction to the motherboard. You're gonna fry this thing if you don't do quick. Get a can of air from a computer store or office supply. DO NOT TURN THE CAN UPSIDE DOWN AND SPRAY. It will dump the propellent which can freeze and crack a chip. Now, shut down the computer and unplug it from the wall. Press the power button for a few seconds. That dumps the charge from the power supply. If you have not already open the case do so now. Let it sit for at least a good 30 mins to let it cool down.
After it cools spray with the tube on the can in to the cooling fins and the fans. Check all of the openings in the case for dust and clean as needed. Check all the case fans for operation. If your system uses flat ribbon cables adjust the position of the cables so as to let air flow from the front to the back of the case. HTH
