whenever i try and record from internet radio such as shoutcast, my pc crashes. it restarts without giving me any messages or bluescreens. The software i use is soundforge and it usually crashes after about 2mins. I sometimes have to do a system restore as it will crash again on restart, but not all the time. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. thanks y'all

What VERSION of Sound Forge are you using. VERSION 5.0 had bugs and crashed alot. The latest VERSION of Sound Forge is 7.0b

thanks for replying so quick i'm using soundforge 6. i don't seem to have any problems with it apart from this. it might be worth updating to 7 though. Is there any other software that will be ok or should soundforge do the job

I record a fair amount and have used several programs.So far the one I like best is Total Recorder Pro version.It wont record until it gets a signal and will pause recording if the internet starts to buffer and then resume when internet resumes and when internet radio program signal is over it will stop recording so you can set it then walk away if your recording one specific show.I have also used it to record my old comedy cassettes as it have line in recording capabilities.Good luck!

thanks a lot Hallygaffer. Downloaded total recorder pro. Tried the demo, then purchased the full product. It works like a dream. Sorted
