Have you played all these games before on that Emachine? The Emachines that I have worked on have mostly built in 32megs of onboard graphics with a few of them with 64 megs all of which is shared. Most newer games tax these onboard graphics pretty hard, to the point of not playing them at all.
You said that you downloaded the newest drivers.....did you remove the old drivers first before installing the new ones?
What kind of graphics do you have now?
Do they work for eveything else other than games?
If you added a card you may have caused a heating issue...This will cause you to be kicked out of games when the graphics get too hot they will shut down.
Maybe a little more info about what you have and what is going on will help us help you better

Hi James.
Do you have a hardware monitor that keeps track of your system's temperature? Your processor could be overheating. Can you give the specs of your computer? What kind of processor/motherboard/cooling do you have? Do you have onboard video? Onboard video slows system performance drastically.
Do you have faulty ram? Run a memory tester to find out. The more information you give about your system the closer you could be to a solution!Hope this helps!

Hey guys, thank you so much for responding, I will try and answer you questions best I can. 1.8 GHz, 1024mb ram, Gforce mx4000 64mb.

Yes, I had played these games before I installed two 512 mb rams, and Gforce 4. The games were terrible, slow, choppy. Now it is good for a while...then when it goes on a loading screen....crash right back to desktop, so I try again, (without restatring) and before the time on crashes seems to be incresed, more frequent. So when I do restart it takes it a good while.
I did not disable prexisting drivers for G force mx4000, I assumed it would replace them once I downloaded something better. I did disable my crapy 16mb "Extreme" Graphics chip, in the (is it called) bios, and in the settings. It is not a big card though, only 64mbs, would this casue over heat? I am not sure on how to find cooling info.
I hope this may answer your questions, thanks again, this means alot!!

This problem could be cause due to your onboard graphics drivers conflicting with your Gforce drivers.

Did you also go into the control panel>system>hardware>device manager and remove your previous graphics adapter (if it was still there)?

Since you disalbed this in BIOS, it may be something else.

What resolution are you trying to play your games at? What kind of processor do you have? Try to play games at a low 800X600 resolution and see if it makes a difference.

Let me know!
