PC Chips M848A problem in games.

I got an M848A pc chips motherboard and an ATI X800 with an Athlin XP 2400+ and 1ghz of DDR400 RAM. Everytime i go into a game it runs for about a minute then exits back to windows XP. Using the same hardware and same CPU cooler on my old motherboard games run fine. WHY WONT IT WORK!!!!
