I am helping my friend to get his dsl to work. He has a Linksys PCMCIA Ethernet Card Model EC2T. Windows XP detected the device and it says the device is working properly. However, there is an icon saying safely remove hardware everytime the card is plugged in. The connection is also not working. It was not the dsl problem since I tried setting up with my PC and it worked perfectly (under XP also). Not sure why this happens... Helps will be much appreciated.
PS I borrowed another notebook from another friend with win98 on it and the everything works perfectly ok.
I got the driver off the Linksys site - the one of my model. I tried installing new driver, but it didnt find any better even when specified the folder.
