Specs: Windows 7, i5 650/4Gb RAM
Hi there,

I have a question: A friend of mine has a pc almost identical to mine, but he has managed to (somehow) get the pc to show the motherboard logo, and then boot windows. My pc, on the other hand, checks for all the hard drives and stuff before starting Windows. Is there any way i can get the same boot as my friend? here are my specs:

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64x
CPU: Intel core i5 650 3,20Ghz
RAM: 4096MB 1333 MHz
Video card: ATI Radeon HD 5770

There are various options in many BIOSes that allow you to disable/enable option like showing logos and fast booting.

Personally, I want my BIOS to show me that the hardware is being configured. I do, however, disable all logos, which are nothing more than advertisement.

His is doing the same, except it is hidden under the splash screen.

He can remove the splash screen if he wants.

If your's boots slower & has better specs, you probably have more programs loaded or are infected.

w7 show startup splash screen

"A friend of mine has a pc almost identical to mine"

Your comparison list is incomplete. Same motherboard? Same HDD? Same software? And not to nitpick, but you do not have 4 CPUs. You have one CPU which has dual cores & supports Hyper-Threading.

yeah, i'm sorry. First of all Windows 7's DXDiag said that i had 4 CPUs, so thats a mistake that i've edited right now. For the comparison it's the same motherboard, same SATAII HDD and same Windows 7 version.
