I think it was Tufenuff who put me on to Kelly's Corner. Number 53 is a tweak to get rid of past items in the notification area. When I download it, it comes as vb script and when I click to open, it opens in note pad. Help. Thanks, every one.

Bill, It appears that the default vbs file association is messed up. Go to the link below and download the "VBS File Association Fix" which is a zip file. Download the ZIP and open it. Extract the REG file to your hard disk and double click it. Answer yes to the import prompt.
