I want to password protect a folder.

All the 3rd party stuff seems to 'hide' the folder - which is not what I'm after. I just want something simple to integrate into shell right click. And then prompt for password if you try to open a protected folder.

Any ideas guys?

Cheers

Androsa File Protect

A freeware utility which might be exactly what you are after.

It needs .NET Framework 2.0 be installed.

Great suggestion. downloaded and installed. Much better than anything I've looked at so far.

Only thing is if you right click and protect a folder each file is seperately encrypted and you have to unlock each. I kinda wanted something that wouldn't let you open the folder without a password.

Can you do that with this programe or is there another one I can try.

Thanks agin for your help.

Thanks,

but same as previous program in that the folder still opens and you can see the files, thay are just encrypted. Really wanted something that asked for a password when you try to open the folder.

Thanks, but any more ideas?
