im using xp and i wanted to know if you can stilll put passwords on folders or files and if so how do do it. Can the folders be hidden folders? (bro keeps messing with my game folders)

You need to have (and be using) an Administrator account. Make sure your brother only has Guest priveleges on his account. Now, go into My Computer and select Folder Options... from the Tools menu. Click the View tab. Scroll down the Advanced Settings list to the bottom. Uncheck "Use simple file sharing (recommended". Now click Apply and click OK. Find the game folder you would like to protect and select Properties from the context menu. Click the Security tab. Remove all of the groups or usernames in the list. Add you (for example, if your name was James, you'd type James) and give yourself Full Control. Add your brother (e.g. Daniel or Guest) and disallow him to write or modify. Then, click OK. Now when your brother logs in, he can't change your game folders...

how can i stope him from being able to see the folder so he think i deleted it? besides using hidden folder. he hates counter strike. also stope hime from opening it.
